Petalz can run automatically with zero input from the user. However, we know that it’s vital that the sender is reminded that the moment it takes to remember their loved one, is not only seen, but is enriching their life. A simple touch of the screen by the Ambassador rewards them with a giant exploding heart, while simultaneously leaving a heart with the Sender.

This feature was discovered through extensive market research. Calling our loved ones with physical and/or cognitive disabilities presents many challenges. But that doesn’t mean they don’t want to hear from you! A setting allows a select group of Petalz to send a daily video message. It appears at the top of the screen with the profile picture of the senders and can be played with a simple tap of the button. Our extensive work with Long Term Care facilities has shown that the staff are happy to assist tapping the screen, if our Ambassador is unable to. This Daily Message is not added to the album but can be played throughout the day. Send a message to remind them of an upcoming visit, share a video of special occasions, or just remind them that you love them!

Our dear Ambassador’s often require assistance with many daily tasks. This often falls on the shoulders of one or two of the family members due to many factors such as proximity. However, our market research was loud and clear, everyone wants to help! Petalz provides the ability for a select group of Petalz to add tasks to the Task Basket for others to review and claim. It provides the ability to attach images to the task, GPS locations and due dates. Tasks like scheduling appointments, picking up groceries or prescriptions, and coordinating visits can be evenly distributed. Share the Care enhances collaborative care, making it easier for families to support their loved ones effectively.
