1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created through use of Petalz, and limited technical information needed to run, secure, improve, and market the service.
- Account and contact details such as name, email address, phone number, role, support messages, and billing-related contact information.
- Family pod content such as photos, videos, comments, messages, important dates, invitations, task details, notes, reminders, and profile settings that users choose to add.
- Website and app usage data such as pages viewed, clicks, device/browser information, approximate location from IP address, referrer, UTM parameters, click IDs, crash logs, and performance metrics.
- Billing and checkout data handled by our payment/subscription providers. Petalz does not intentionally store full payment card numbers on the website.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide Petalz, support users, improve the product, secure accounts, process billing, and measure marketing performance.
- Operate private family pods, invitations, uploads, messages, calls, reminders, and care coordination features.
- Respond to support, account, billing, partnership, and research inquiries.
- Measure website performance, landing-page quality, advertising attribution, and conversion outcomes.
- Prevent abuse, debug technical issues, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Analytics, advertising, and consent
Petalz uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 on the website. We may also use Google Ads, Meta advertising tools, and related conversion tags for PPC campaigns. Non-essential analytics and advertising cookies are controlled by the cookie banner where required.
- Consent Mode signals include analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.
- Visitors can accept all cookies or use necessary cookies only. Cookie preferences can be changed from the footer.
- We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text care details, diagnoses, medication details, or other sensitive care context to advertising platforms.
- Remarketing, custom audiences, enhanced conversions, or customer-list uploads should only be used after consent, policy, and legal review.
4. Service providers
We may share information with vendors that help us operate Petalz. These providers may include hosting, analytics, advertising, payment, email, customer support, database, authentication, security, and product infrastructure providers.
- Current or expected providers may include WordPress/hosting providers, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Chargebee, Supabase, Resend, Firebase, app store providers, and support/chat tools.
- Providers are expected to use information only for authorized business purposes and to protect it appropriately.
5. Family pod sharing
Family pod content is private to the people invited into the relevant pod, subject to their role and permissions. Users should invite only people they trust and avoid adding medical, emergency, financial, or highly sensitive details unless they are comfortable sharing that information with the pod.
- Pod members may see content, comments, tasks, reminders, notes, dates, and profile details shared within that pod.
- Petalz is not an emergency, medical, clinical, or professional care service.
6. Retention, deletion, and rights
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Petalz, support accounts, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Users may request access, correction, deletion, export, or consent withdrawal where applicable.
- Some data may remain in backups, security logs, billing records, or legally required records for a limited period.
- Regional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live, including rights under Canadian, US state, UK, EEA, or other privacy laws.
7. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Petalz is intended for family use and is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in a user's jurisdiction, without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.
- Use strong passwords, keep devices updated, review pod membership, and protect access to shared tablets.
- Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent.
